A Very Different FOURTH OF JULY

 The COVID-19 Pandemic has

changed the way we do things:

Our July 4 event will be greatly reduced this year due to the current restrictions.  What we are planning currently, is to have a Patriotic Observance beginning at 10:30 am, with local veterans presenting the flag and ringing the Freedom Bell.  There will be patriotic music and  we are inviting some special speakers (to be announced on this page).  We plan to urge everyone in attendance to maintain proper social distancing.

At 10 pm on July 4, we plan to have the Fireworks Show by Pyro Spectaculars, as we always do.  This program is easily observed from home for most George residents, so we will be encouraging that.  Also, viewing from parked vehicles will be allowed.  Congregating in the park will not be encouraged.

We will not be including the Cherry Bomb Run, the Parade, the Giant Cherry Pie, no Children's' Activities or Contests, no Food or Craft Vendors and no paid on-stage entertainment in this year's July 4 Celebration.  But be of good cheer - we aim to be back in full force for July 4, 2021!
